ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a capable and dedicated Village Maintenance Officer to join our team on a full-time basis at Watermark Freshwater, in Freshwater.

In this hands-on role, you’ll be responsible for completing general maintenance services across our Village to ensure the site remains safe, well-maintained, and operating smoothly.

More specifically, your duties will include but are not limited to:

• Carry out general repairs and maintenance (reactive and scheduled)
• Perform a range of handyperson duties including patching, painting, and basic carpentry
• Assist with minor electrical work under supervision (where appropriate)
• Coordinate and oversee third-party contractors, ensuring compliance and quality outcomes
• Accurately log and track jobs using FM systems (e.g. FM Clarity)
• Identify defects and resolve maintenance issues efficiently
• Support continuous improvement of maintenance procedures
• Maintain strong, positive relationships with residents, staff, and contractors
• Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with policies and regulations
   

ABOUT YOU

To be successful in securing this role, you will ideally possess the following skills and experiences:

• Previous experience in a similar role including general maintenance
• A tertiary qualification/s in a Trade or a related discipline is highly desirable
• A Criminal Record Check
• Current Drivers Licence
• First Aid Certificate and CPR certification
• Good communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
• A strong commitment to safety and compliance
