ABOUT THE ROLE We are currently seeking a Permanent Full Time Electrician to provide your expertise across all our Group sites which span from Western Sydney, Northern Beaches and Central Coast. You will be responsible for the completion of day-to-day electrical trade and maintenance functions for the Group, including programmed maintenance and repair of all Group buildings and assets in accordance with Group requirements and standards. More specifically, some of your key duties will include: - Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes.
- Advise management on whether continued operation of equipment could be hazardous.
- Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices such as ohmmeters/ voltmeters to ensure compatibility and safety of system.
- Maintain current licences to meet governmental regulations.
- Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures, based on job specifications and local codes.
- Prepare sketches or follow plans to determine the location of wiring and equipment and to ensure conformance to building and safety codes.
- Use a variety of tools and equipment such as power construction equipment, measuring devices, power tools, and testing equipment.
- Perform business management duties such as maintaining records and files.
- Work from ladders, scaffolds, ewp’s and roofs to install, maintain or repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
- Construct and fabricate parts, using hand tools and specifications.
- Perform physically demanding tasks, such as digging trenches to lay conduit and moving and lifting heavy objects.
- Provide preliminary sketches and cost estimates for materials and services.
- Be Safety aware and compliant in all areas
ABOUT YOU To be successful for this role, you should have the following: - Previous experience essential
- Electrical License
- Construction Induction Card (WHS White Card)
- A current driver’s license and the ability to travel to other Venues
- Must be able to work flexible hours
- Working Safely at Heights certification
- Current First Aid (desirable)
- High Risk License (over 11m) (desirable)
- Elevated Work Platform (under 11m) (desirable)
- ChemCert (desirable)
- Confined Space (desirable)
