The role:

 

We are currently seeking a Part-Time Trade Assistant to join our Northern Beaches site’s Maintenance team.  Reporting to the Maintenance Coordinator, you will be required to complete handyman and general maintenance activities and participate in the supervision of associated facility services across multiple sites to ensure that each site is well presented, clean, serviced, compliant, functioning and that all stakeholders’ daily needs are anticipated and met ensuring a safe, efficient and comfortable environment.

 

Your duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • Undertake day to day maintenance and repairs as required
  • Co-ordinate and perform maintenance and service works, both scheduled and unscheduled
  • Assist in the delivery of a range of facility services across the Group ensuring sites are well-presented, serviced and functioning properly
  • Perform contractor site inductions and assist in the supervision of third-party contractors
  • Identify and report defects associated with the venue
  • Identify, investigate and resolve service issues and provide next steps feedback to all parties involved.
  • Back up support to the wider Facilities team across the Group.

 

Skills and experience 

  • Sound Computer knowledge
  • Previous experience operating power tools
  • Construction Induction Card (WH&S White Card)
  • Current First Aid
  • High Risk Licence (over 11m)
  • Elevated Work Platform (under 11m)
  • Working Safely at Heights certification
  • ChemCert
  • Confined Space
  • A current driver’s license and the ability to travel to other Venues
  • Must be able to work flexible hours including days, nights and weekends
