Trade Assistant (Handy Person)

We are currently seeking a Permanent Full Time Trade Assistant to join our maintenance team located at our Northern Beaches venues. Reporting to the Maintenance Coordinator, this role will see you completing handyman and general maintenance.


You will also participate in the supervision of associated facility services across our 2 sites located in Freshwater & Manly are well presented, clean, serviced, compliant, functioning and that all stakeholders’ daily needs are anticipated and met. 


Your duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • Undertake day to day maintenance and repairs as required
  • Co-ordinate and perform maintenance and service works, both scheduled and unscheduled
  • Assist in the delivery of a range of facility services across the Group ensuring sites are well-presented, serviced and functioning properly
  • Perform contractor site inductions and assist in the supervision of third-party contractors
  • Identify and report defects associated with the venue
  • Identify, investigate and resolve service issues and provide next steps feedback to all parties involved.
  • Back up support to the wider Facilities team across the Group.


  • Comfortable with using computers (basic experience required) 
  • Previous experience operating power tools
  • Construction Induction Card (WH&S White Card)
  • A current driver’s license and the ability to travel to other Venues
  • Must be able to work flexible hours including days, nights and weekends


  • Working Safely at Heights certification 
  • Current First Aid
  • High Risk Licence (over 11m)
  • Elevated Work Platform (under 11m)
