Located in Mount Pritchard, and with a state-of-the-art facility consisting of 1000m2 training floor, 25m pool, dedicated learn to swim pool, 4 group fitness studios as well as onsite child minding and physiotherapy suites, who wouldn’t want to be a part of this Health & Fitness centre!
Reporting to the Aquatics Centre Manager, our Learn to Swim Instructors are responsible for the delivery of the venue’s swimming lessons and ensuring the smooth running of the day to day aquatics activities with a high degree of professionalism and in a safe manner.
The ideal candidates will be fun and energetic people with a passion for the safety, wellbeing, and education of children. The successful Instructors will also be required to work a variety of shifts including weekdays, weekends and afternoons.
To be successful in the role you will have:
A passion to teach children of all ages and create positive and safe learning environments.
Strong communication skills, both oral and written, and the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of individuals including children, parents and carers.
A high level of professionalism and integrity and know what to do in the event of an emergency.
Previous experience in a similar role will be highly regarded.
Flexibility to work across a 7-day roster with weekend availability being essential.
Current Austswim (Teacher of swimming and water safety certificate).
Current First Aid & CPR certification.
Current Working with Children check.
