A glimpse at Mounties Home Care

Powered by Mounties Group, we provide in-home care for Clients so they can enjoy living independently with a little help from us. We offer support for our wonderful clients based throughout Sydney.

 

The Role:

Reporting to the Home Care Operations Manager, the purpose of a Registered Nurse is to ensure the direct care and needs of our clients are met through overseeing and evaluating care plans and individualised nursing needs within the community.

 

More specifically, your duties will include:

  • Deliver client care in accordance with current professional and ethical standards, evidence-based practice, relevant legislation, and common law
  • Act as an advocate for the client and their family whilst protecting and upholding their rights in relation to the care assessed and provided by Mounties Care- Home Care
  • Be accountable and responsible for all care given, including assessments and maintenance of care plans
  • Assess client and carer needs for education/support, inform them of additional sources as appropriate and manage the effectiveness of the intervention
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders through verbal and written communication whilst maintaining confidentiality
  • Actively participate in education and professional development of self and others
  • Attendance at mandatory education sessions
  • Conduct competency-based assessments on staff as required by Mounties Home Care

Minimum requirements:

  • Current registration with Australian Health Practitioner Registration Agency
  • Minimum two years post graduate experience
  • Annual CPR
  • Current COVID vaccination
  • Satisfactory National Police clearance
  • Working with children check
  • Current motor vehicle drivers’ license and access to a reliable registered motor vehicle with a minimum of third-party insurance
