THE ROLE

We are seeking a passionate and proactive Responsible Gambling Advisor to join our Legal and Risk Office on a permanent full-time basis, based at our Mount Pritchard Head Office.

 

Reporting to the Senior Manager – Risk, Compliance and Responsible Gambling, this role plays a vital part in implementing Mounties Group’s Responsible Gambling (RG) Framework. You will help embed harm minimisation practices, strengthen compliance across all venues, and support our Responsible Gambling Officers (RGOs) and Venue Managers in delivering safe, ethical and compliant gaming environments.

 

Your work will directly contribute to Mounties Group’s community-first commitment and our values-driven approach to responsible gambling.

 

Your duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • Support the implementation and continuous improvement of Mounties Group’s Responsible Gambling Framework and related policies
  • Monitor and align responsible gambling practices with evolving legislative and regulatory requirements (e.g. ILGA, L&GNSW, and the NSW Roadmap for Gaming Reform)
  • Provide day-to-day advisory support to RGOs, Venue Managers, and operational teams on responsible gambling practices and incident management
  • Process self-exclusions and patron readmissions in line with approved procedures
  • Assist in venue-based compliance reviews, incident register quality control, and harm minimisation initiatives
  • Help coordinate responsible gambling audits, reports and dashboards for internal and regulatory use
  • Support delivery of Responsible Conduct of Gambling (RCG) and Advanced RCG (ARCG) training and awareness activities
  • Develop and maintain communication materials and digital training resources to promote RG awareness among staff and patrons
  • Contribute to the preparation of management and Board-level reports, including analysis of RG metrics, incidents, and improvement opportunities
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners, including GambleAware providers, regulators, and industry associations

ABOUT YOU

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

  • 2–4 years’ experience in compliance, risk, gaming operations or community support roles (hospitality, club, or casino industry experience highly regarded)
  • Current RCG and ARCG certification, or ability to obtain
  • Solid knowledge of NSW Responsible Gambling requirements and harm minimisation principles
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and relationship-building skills
  • Experience in training delivery or mentoring operational staff
  • High level of integrity, discretion, and professional judgement
  • Excellent organisational and analytical skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and exposure to GRC’s, Power BI, or compliance reporting tools desirable
