ABOUT THE ROLE We are seeking a driven and customer-focused Catering Team Leader on a full-time basis to join our flagship venue, located in Mount Pritchard. As a Catering Team Leader, you will be responsible for the overseeing of day-to-day operations of preparing and cooking snack foods, light meals and beverage items within our Terrace Bar & Café. You will oversee all set-up and clean-up of the Café, ensuring a high level of cleanliness is always maintained. You will also be responsible for the overseeing, direction and mentoring of Catering staff, as well as high-level food service quality, whilst maintaining a courteous and professional customer service. More specifically, your duties will include but are not limited to: - Overseeing end-to-end food ordering and preparation processes
- Preparing and cooking snack foods, light meals, and beverage items
- Carrying out specialised cooking and non-cooking duties in kitchen and food preparation areas
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised workstation in line with food safety standards
- Assisting with customer orders during busy service periods
- Leading by example to ensure consistent delivery of exceptional customer service in a timely manner
ABOUT YOU To be successful in securing this role, you will ideally possess the following skills and experiences: - Current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) and Responsible Conduct of Gaming (RCG) certificates
- Current Food Safety Supervisor certificate
- Strong communication skills and a genuine passion for customer service
- Previous experience working in a fast-paced hospitality or catering environment
- Ability to anticipate customer needs and exceed expectations
- Confidence in carrying out basic cooking and food preparation
- Flexibility to work a rotating roster, including days, nights, weekends and public holidays
