ABOUT THE ROLE We are currently seeking a Permanent Full‑Time or Part‑Time Facilities and Maintenance Officer to provide professional maintenance support across multiple Mounties Group sites. As the Facilities & Maintenance Officer, you’ll be responsible for delivering high‑quality maintenance and facility services across the Harbord Diggers site. Your work ensures that buildings, plant, equipment, and amenities remain safe, compliant, and operational. From day‑to‑day repairs to contractor coordination and site inspections, you’ll be a key contributor to the smooth running of the precinct and the experience of our members, residents, and guests. More specifically, some of your key duties will include: - Perform general handyperson duties including repairs and maintenance, patch and paint, carpentry, minor building works, and fault rectification.
- Undertake programmed and reactive maintenance works across all allocated sites, ensuring tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and to required standards.
- Carry out minor electrical works strictly under the supervision of a licensed electrician and in compliance with statutory requirements.
- Accurately log, track, and close maintenance requests using approved systems, including clear documentation of works completed.
- Assist with inspections of buildings, plant, and assets to identify defects, hazards, and service issues.
- Supervise and coordinate third‑party contractors on site to ensure works are carried out safely, efficiently, and in accordance with legislation, scope, and site procedures.
- Ensure contractors comply with WHS requirements, inductions, permits, and site‑specific operating procedures.
- Work collaboratively with the Facilities Management team to establish, review, and improve maintenance procedures and site operations.
- Support compliance with WHS, building, fire, and statutory obligations.
- Contribute to risk identification, reporting, and mitigation activities.
ABOUT YOU To be successful for this role, you should have the following: - Trade qualifications or demonstrated experience.
- NSW Drivers License
- White card (Desirable)
- High Risk License (over 11m) (desirable)
- Elevated Work Platform (under 11m) (desirable)
- ChemCert (desirable)
- Confined Space (desirable)
